Zen-On New Bressan G-1A ABS Alto Recorder

The New Bressan G-1A is a refined model of Bressan 1500B and a new flag ship model of Zen-On plastic alto recorder.
Backed with over half-century experience in manufacturing recorders, Zen-On completed G-1A in collaboration with two master craftsmen, Shigeharu Hirao (Shigeharu Yamaoka), player and recorder designer, and Hiroyuki Takeyama, president of Takeyama Woodwind Instrument. Photo: Shigeharu Hirao

G-1A comes with a curved windway (patent applied for) for more stable and sustaining sound, and undercut tone holes which have been only standard to high-end models so far.

In order to perfectly duplicate original Bressan model recorder in plastic, it was a time-consuming trial and error work for the two masters and Zen-On manufacturing staff.

Zen-On plans to expand the line named “Giglio” adding sopranino, soprano, tenor and bass models in coming years.
