Yoshinori Kimbara
Yoshinori Kimbara, former director of Yamaha Corporation, passed away on September 3 at the ag of 92. Joined Yamaha (Nippon Gakki Seizo at the time) in 1947, Kimbara was one of the masterminds to initiate first music teaching lesson program by the company, which eventually led to Yamaha Music Teaching School. He also spearheaded launch of Yamaha Music Foundation through extensive communication with the government authorities, and served as the first president of the organization.
