Kawai Musical Instruments MFG. Co., Ltd. (President: Mr. Hirotaka Kawai) hosted “Mikhail Pletnev Piano Recital” at Sakura Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on July 5, 2016. The philosophy of the company has been “Making The World’s Best Piano” since Koichi Kawai started Kawai Musical Instruments laboratory in 1927. Since then, the philosophy has been maintained by three generations, including Shigeru Kawai, former chairman, and Hirotaka Kawai, current chairman.

Yamaha Salon Concert by Maya Ando
Maya Ando, who resides in Germany and won the Johanes Brahms International Competition (Piano Category) in 2015, hosted a solo concert entitled “Parts of Me” at the Yamaha Ginza concert salon, sponsored by Yamaha Piano Artist Service. She went on to Hannover Conservatory after graduating from high-school in Hamamatsu, and graduated at the top of her class. Currently, she is enrolled in the soloist course at Detmold Conservatory, in addition to teaching younger students at music schools.
