Shimamura Music Opens 2nd Shop in Beijing

島村北京20160430_120504Shimamura Music (Toshiaki Hirose, President) opened their second shop at Kaide Capita Mall Tai Yan Gong in Beijing on April 28, 2016. In September of 2015, the company opened their first shop outside of Japan at Aeon Mall Feng Tai in Beijing.

Tai Yan Gong is located on the north side of Zhao Yang Gu which has the biggest population in Beijing and has been developing after the opening of subway #10. Currently, the location is well-known as an attractive shopping district surrounded by luxury residential areas. The Kaide Capita Mall was developed as the suburban family shopping mall by a major developing firm called Capitaland in Singapore in 2010. This mall is directly connected with  subway #10 by an underground passage, this affording easy access to everything from casual brands for the younger generation to educational facilities for family visitors, and is popular with this twenties-to-forties crowd.

Shimamura Music is the mall’s only music shop, selling digital pianos, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric drums, etc., and has no music lesson room. The size of the shop is 66 square meters.

In line with Shimamura Music’s corporate philosophy of “Providing the pleasure of music in order to create as many music enthusiasts as possible”, Mr. Hirose says the company is planning to actively open new shops.
