Porta Fest Draws 59,000 Fans

170203_Potafes0918Portable Audio Festival 2016, known as Porta Fest, an experience event displaying audio products in line with the theme of “Go Out with Good Sound”, was held on December 17 and 18, 2016 at Akiba_Square of Bellesale Akihabara and Akihabara UDX in downtown Tokyo. This is an event for finding the best matching special ear phones for the music customer’s convenience.


The event was started in 2012 and has been held two times in Tokyo, and one time each in Osaka and Nagoya. A hundred manufacturers and import agents, such as Yamaha, Roland, Korg, Fender, Marshall, Audio Technica, Teac, Shure, Sennheiser and Miyaji Shokai MID, etc., participated.

Attendees checked and enjoyed their favorite ear phones and head phones at each booth. In addition, a corner for making ear phones cast from actual human ears was one of the best attractions. This two-day event, with famous guitarists and artists on both Saturday and Sunday, drew 59,000 music fans.
